This policy explains how Plowara Snow Operations handles information when you use the Plowara mobile app and website.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use Plowara, the service may process account information such as your email address and user role; property, storm, job, route, note, and operational records entered into the app; device and app information used for reliability and security; and location information used for map display, truck presence, geofencing, job timing, and route recording.
Location information and background location
Plowara may access precise device location while the app is in use and, when you grant background-location permission, while the app is not actively on screen. Background location supports features such as automatic job arrival/start behavior, automatic job completion based on leaving a property area, live truck presence for authorized members of the same company, and recording the route driven during an active service job.
How information is used
- Provide maps, property status, job tracking, storm management, routes, reports, and related app functions.
- Synchronize authorized company data between signed-in devices.
- Maintain account security, diagnose problems, and improve service reliability.
- Respond to support, privacy, and account requests.
Sharing and service providers
Operational information may be visible to authorized users within the same Plowara company workspace according to their role. Plowara also relies on technology providers such as Google/Firebase and Google Maps platform services for authentication, cloud data, maps, and related app functionality. Information may be disclosed when required by law or to protect the service and its users.
Sale of personal information
Plowara does not sell personal information.
Data retention
Information is retained for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain legitimate operational records, comply with applicable obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Account-deletion requests are handled as described on the Delete Account page.
Security
Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect information. No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Your choices
You can control Android location permissions through device settings. You may also request account deletion or contact us with privacy questions.
Children
Plowara is designed for business snow-operation users and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as Plowara changes.
